J. Mark Davis

Mark Davis is the inventor of The Eggsercizer, The World’s Smallest Exercise Machine, and author of a book on inventing called From Mind to Market.
Mark serves as President and owner of Davis NDE, Inc., where his technical expertise is nondestructive testing, training and consulting to the nuclear power and petrochemical industries. Mark’s primary area of expertise is in Ultrasonics and Digital Radiography.
In 1998 Mark was asked by Birmingham City Engineers to perform an Ultrasonic Inspection of cracks found in the historic landmark Vulcan. Over the past three years Mark has conducted Ultrasonic Training in the Ukraine and Armenian for the DOE International Nuclear Safety Program for Chernobyl and the
other Russian Designed Nuclear Power Plants, and last year trained the Korean Nuclear Regulatory Commission Inspectors.
An Alabama Native from Montgomery, Mark is a veteran of the Vietnam Era having served in the United States Navy over 6 years inspecting nuclear powered submarines. After his naval service, he was the Corporate Inspector for Alabama Power and Southern Company for nuclear power plants.
Mark has served Habitat for Humanity as Chairman of the Board for Greater Birmingham as well as on the Board for Shelby County. He is a member of Hunter Street Baptist Church and the Personal Leadership Association.
