Dr. David Dyson founded
Dyson Institute in 1988 to
serve people and organizations to help them fulfill their callings.
David writes and teaches seminars, workshops, and courses, as well as
presents speeches and lectures, to students, young professionals,
emerging leaders, and senior leaders. He coaches regarding planning,
leading, and action. He has authored or co-authored books, numerous
articles, and has more in progress.
David also supports dedicated professionals who share
the mission and values of the Institute and wish to serve with us. He
helps develop services and systems to help the Institute operate
successfully and last beyond his time.
Excerpt from David’s Plan for Life /
vision statement, 1988
(after completing his doctoral studies in Educational Leadership at
Vanderbilt University and returning to Alabama)
A group of inspired, visionary professionals
join me in an institute dedicated to helping people and their
organizations do their best.
The Institute serves as a beacon of knowledge, inspiration and guidance
for persons who come for instruction, coaching, reflection and positive
interaction.

he shares in a seminar on “Earning and Re-earning Trust” influenced by
the process of earning trust with his horse, Patriot, who came from the
mountains of Northern Washington.

Vision
Dyson Leadership Institute is a valuable
resource based in Alabama for corporations, professional societies, and
colleges who seek to serve as "champions” of people and organizational
development in the state and beyond.
The Institute attracts and supports
dedicated professionals who are distinctive in their preparation and
services. We and the State of Alabama increasingly attract students,
clients, and sponsors who increasingly value the state as a resource to
help people and organizations do their best.
